At the end of this one day course you will understand and be able to apply the basics of directing. You will have the basic editorial and composition skills to move on to the technical and practical aspects of directing
Hence we will cover:
The Hypothesis approach to determine your thought line as a Director
How that determines your Visual Style as relating to
Types of Shot, Camera Angles, Camera Height, Lighting, Colour, Shape and Lines, Mise en Scene, Sound Sources, Editing, Effects.
Ethics.
Crew management, self shooting.
Relationships with producer etc.
